Grid XVII (Recontained) is formed from melt and pour glycerin soap, its bodily range of tones produced through burning inside the microwave, where the duration of heat drives the material from milky white to beige and deepened brown. Pressed into the measured divisions of an ordinary IKEA wire basket and infused with the scent of a Snuggle reed diffuser, the work binds together skin, storage, and artificial freshness in a single compressed form. The soap hovers between residue and presence, as though a living softness had been translated into the language of the grid. The domestic fragrance, designed to mask odor and sustain an atmosphere of cleanliness, intensifies the work’s quiet tension, where care and comfort become inseparable from regulation. What emerges is not violence as image, but violence as atmosphere: subtle, ordinary, and difficult to name. Rather than dramatizing the body, the work reveals how it is quietly arranged, partitioned, and made legible by the structures meant to contain it.

格 XVII（內收）由甘油融化皂基構成，其近乎肉身的色階來自微波加熱中的燒灼：隨著受熱時間延長，材料由乳白漸次轉為米色與深褐。皂體被壓入一只尋常的 IKEA 金屬線籃分隔之中，並注入 Snuggle 室內擴香液的氣味，使肌膚、收納與人工清新感交纏於同一個被壓縮的形態之內。作品中的皂體游移於殘留物與存在之間，彷彿某種活生生的柔軟性被翻譯成格網的語言。原本用以遮蔽氣味、維持潔淨氛圍的家用香氛，也進一步加深了作品內在的靜默張力，在這裡，照護與舒適與規訓彼此難分。浮現於作品中的並非作為圖像的暴力，而是作為氛圍的暴力：細微、日常，且難以明言。這件作品並不將身體戲劇化，而是揭示它如何被那些本應容納它的結構悄然安排、分隔，並塑造成為可被辨識的樣態。
